you have said otherwise. you wish it were safe.
but it is not.
yet.
don't look. too easy. too deep. still? still. too soon.
it does not help, does not heal.
tears at scabs, salts the wound, kicks the pride. feels perverse.
"it is not for your eyes". make it a mantra. a pledge. you are not a voyuer.
do not look.
time wounds all heals. just the slightest of motions, flexing of digits, barely an impulse.
